Description
Overview
A carbide-tipped blade for cutting aluminium and plastics on mitre saws, sliding compound saws and table saws. Its high tooth count gives clean, burr-free cuts in profiles, tube and sheet.
Applications
- Aluminium extrusions, window and door frames
- Aluminium tube, angle and flat bar
- PVC pipe and profiles, acrylic and other plastic sheet
- Shopfitting and signage work
Features
- Triple chip grind (TCG) teeth alternate a chamfered and a flat tooth, the standard choice for clean cuts in non-ferrous metal and plastics.
- Tungsten carbide tips stay sharp through abrasive aluminium alloys.
- Reducer rings let one blade fit saws with any of the listed bore sizes.
- Sold as a single blade or in value multi-packs.
Fitting & safety
- Match the rotation arrow on the blade to the direction marked on your saw's guard.
- Fit the reducer ring that matches your saw's arbor so the blade sits centred, then tighten the flange firmly.
- Make sure your saw's no-load speed is no higher than the blade's maximum speed (see specifications).
- For non-ferrous metals and plastics only. Never cut steel or other ferrous metal.
- Clamp the workpiece firmly and feed steadily. A cutting wax or lubricant reduces build-up on the teeth.
- Wear safety glasses and gloves. Aluminium chips leave the blade hot and sharp.
